Awesome track! I can tell a lot of work went into this. I really liked the vocals, reminded me of Wayne Static and Rob Zombie. In fact, some portions of it felt like I was listening to something from the Wisconsin Death Trip album by Static-X. You definitely have a unique sound, it's chaotic but very pleasing to listen to. Loved the choppy guitars and the sounds of the synths all meshed together really well. I really liked the pitch-shifted / modulated vocals going on around 1:06, really cool. The only gripe I have about the song is that I feel that the guitar might be a little too quiet in the mix, I can hear that the playing is spot on and the tone fits the song perfectly it just feels a little drowned out at certain points (around the 1:33 mark is an example, the guitar playing is great here it just happens to get drowned out by the synths). It's honestly nothing major though, the song sounds really great. Also the piano that comes in around 2:08 was a really nice touch. It gets super groovy going back into the "All I did I did for you" section.

Fantastic song man, I really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much for the thorough and indepth review! You hit spot on with the Rob Zombie and Static-X mentions. I draw a lot of inspiration from them, especially Static-X. Huge fan and so is the vocalist/guitarist, Timothy.

Hehe I've been fighting with guitar mixing for two years now, I never quite get it on the right level! I will keep working hard to make more space and change those levels one day in the future!

I really enjoyed the melody, the piano and hip-hop style drums really meshed well together. Really calm and relaxing, the progression into the synths at around the 2:20 mark felt really natural. Great work! Overall a very pleasant tune.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :D

Great tune man. I think you definitely succeeded in capturing the feeling you were going for. Reminds me of crawling through destroyed cities and such in old beat-em ups. Gotta love that slap-bass sound that was prevalent on SNES / Genesis songs, there's something bad-ass about it. Great job dude!

kcpm responds:

I'm glad to hear it hit the mark! I always thought that slap bass was pretty vicious

That was great man. Really digging the sound of your voice, nice and smooth with a bit of a bluesy edge. Great cover man, would love to hear the full version. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, I definetly want to do a full one. I do most of these in one go cause I'm not good at editing. So it can take some time before I get a perfect take. Glad you liked it.

That was great. I really enjoyed the contrast between the acoustic guitar & electronic instruments. It has a nice classic western yet modern vibe. Awesome job dude, keep up the good work!

That was amazing, You made great use of different time signatures, I especially liked the 5/8 part around 3 minutes in. It had a very progressive feel to it, almost like a progressive-rock / metal song in 8-bit format. Sounded like I was playing an NES game. Great job!

ThermalLaser responds:

Thanks man!
Good ear, it is 5/8. Another thing to listen for in that section is the Melody is mirrored at 3:19 lol.
And i love progressive rock/metal, so that probably influences everything.

Thanks for the review!
